Water levels are down in the area - the Highlands are the head waters (top of the water shed) for much southern Ontario & Parks Canada is holding back water to supply the Trent Severn Waterway for the rest of the summer.

Pretty dramatic light this night, I had a difficult time positioning myself for that magic moment.
I was trying to hard tonight to get a photograph - any photograph. It's not good to force it, should just let it happen...
I was heading home from setting up some of my work for display at The Art Hive in Maple Lake -

& thought I should stop to have a look at this bend in the river - I would like to stop there again on a more dramatic night, the sun sets directly over top of it.
